one day reset
On waking, you should pour yourself a large glass of warm water and then shower. Don't be tempted to reach for your phone or any electronic device. Ideally this is the best time to do a ten minute meditate. Then walk. After the fresh air, make yourself some healthy breakfast. Try to drink no more than 2 coffees or teas throughout the whole day. I have one coffee in the morning then drink nettle tea for the rest of the day.
These are only five of the benefits of daily walking
1. improves your mood.
2. strengthens your heart.
3. help lower blood sugar
4. boost immune function
5. burn calories
Start with a ten minute walk in the fresh air. Make it as brisk as is comfortably possible. You don't need to go mad, otherwise you might injure yourself. The secret is consistency. Perhaps you would like to listen to the podcast as you go along. Make sure you're paying attention to the road though!
The meaning of work is activity involving mental or physical effort done in order to achieve a purpose or result. With this in mind, you should try and associate work with activities to help you find your purpose in life. Have you ever asked yourself what that is? Maybe it's time you did.
This is not what it seems. It is not our intention to deprive you of any food. Quite the opposite. You can eat what you like - within reason - between the hours of 11am and 7pm. Then give your tummy a rest. If you need a snack, have a cup of herbal tea or if you must a coffee. Remember, it's only for one day.
What to eat. Well that's up to you! However, if you would like to see what I eat in a day, then read on.
breakfast - Place 1 chopped pear in a bowl and cover with porridge made with water and a little bit of salt. Add a dollop of greek yogurt and top with pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds and brazil nuts. Green spinach drink.
lunch - 2 rice cakes topped with almond butter and sliced banana. 2 teaspoons of sauerkraut on the side.
dinner - 1 piece of salmon with a huge bowl of salad. Homemade strawberry ice cream and fresh strawberries.
snack - celery with homemade hummus.
Not everyone will find this day easy. I don't think you can say it is hard though. It is just a new way of thinking about your day. Your body needs time to repair anything that may be wrong with it - general maintenance. However, if you are constantly grazing, then your body has no time to fix itself.
Try this once a week to start with, then if you're feeling comfortable with your reset, up it to 2 days a week and so on.
